This group attends a variety of opera, other music, and dance performances in
the Albuquerque area. Attendees purchase their own tickets, then they meet up
for the performance and for refreshments before or after the performance.

“The Light in the Piazza” is a Tony Award- winning musical set in Italy in 1953 that tells the story of an American mother, Margaret, and her developmentally disabled daughter, Clara. Clara falls in love with a young Florentine man, forcing Margaret to confront her own views avout love, life, and her daughter’s future.
The show is known for its lush, romantic score, which blends classical and operatic styles. It won six Tony Awards in 2005, including Best Score.
